• Implementing high performance data transfer solutions operating on block level data, file system data and raw volumes for leading file systems like ZFS, NTFS, NSS, NFS (NAS) and HPC Lustre hosted on physical, virtual or SSD disks.
• Development of solutions using volume managers services such as, getting volume mapping information, gathering statistics, getting drive information, creating snapshot, flushing file system IO etc.
• Improving network server performance using Solid State Disk (SSD) and moving hot data to SSD drive or using SSD in cluster environment.
• Knowledge & skills to develop storage consolidation software using SCSI adapters- iSCSI target mode driver or consolidation using a SCSI RAID controller.
• Good understanding of SCSI-3 architecture and ability to writing user mode drivers for all types of SCSI devices including medium changer, sequential device, block devices.
• Skills for writing HBA Apis for SCSI and iSCSI adapters to capture worldwide node name, port name, fibre channel ID and sending CDBs to special devices on SAN such as FC-SCSI Bridge etc.
• Ability to debug storage network by putting analysers to ensure serial SCSI and related configuration works fine.

Storage application development– Dealing with large amount of file system data whether in flight or stationary is always a big challenge. The benchmarks of operation on large data go up periodically, as users demand for higher performance, integrity with optimum resource utilization in SAN and NAS environment. At Cadence Data Soft we have we have deep understanding of typical requirements of storage intensive and storage management applications running in SAN and NAS environment, including file system data backup, data migration, data compression, data synchronization, data de-duplication, disaster recovery application, SSD based transaction optimization, WAN optimized data transfer, FC SAN and iSCSI SAN device discovery and management.

Storage infrastructure development– We have expertise in developing infrastructure software for storage provisioning (in Storage Area Network (SAN), Network Attached Storage (NAS) environments) and infrastructure simulation, such as storage consolidation behind a SCSI target either using RAID controller or using iSCSI, adding features to FC or iSCSI bride and switch including features like IO duplication on ports, using idle cycles for enhanced features such as offloading IO from servers, SSD integration, writing virtual tape and virtual tape library (VTL) simulators, developing volume manager and adding features like snapshotting and file system IO flushing, virtual disks, NAS vaulting etc.
